The Story Behind Ruth’s House: Jeanne Korman on Mission CTRL

Ruth’s House began with a deeply personal understanding of how hard it can be to raise children on your own—and how much it matters to have someone in your corner.

Our founder, Jeanne Korman, joined Ramon and Jorge on the Mission CTRL podcast to share how her experience as a single mother of five inspired her to create a loving home for single moms and their children. In the episode, “Perseverance, Redemption, and Refuge,” Jeanne reflects on seven years of setbacks, the faith that kept her going, and the people who helped make Ruth’s House possible.

The conversation offers a personal look at the work behind our mission: helping mothers find safety, stability, and support as they build independent lives for themselves and their children. Jeanne also shares stories of women taking those next steps, including our first resident’s journey toward college and a new beginning.

We’re grateful for the chance to share our story—and for everyone who continues to be part of it.
